Daily Exercise Tips for Busy Women
- Take the Stairs. Most of the time, no matter where you are, there are opportunities to take the stairs instead of the elevator. Whether you're attending an important business meeting, going to the mall, or visiting a friend in the hospital, choose to take the stairs.
- Go for a Walk. Walking is a great way to get extra exercise and most of the time it doesn't even feel like exercise at all. Ask a girlfriend if she'd like to take a walk for your morning coffee get together. Having a partner makes the time more enjoyable and go faster. Or you can go for walk when you just need to sort some of your thoughts. Besides, getting some extra blood to the brain will actually help you think clearer.
- Play with Your Kids. Your children are a built-in excuse for active play! Decide that you're going to engage in exuberant games like outdoor sports, tag, or jump rope. You can even do this with pets too -- liven up your daily dog walk by increasing your speed, increasing the distance, or increasing the challenge (choose a hilly route). It'll be a fun and relaxing source of exercise!
- Jog in Place. Jogging in place might seem like a boring activity, but when you combine it with something else that you're doing, it can be quite invigorating. There are bound to be short bursts of time that you can use to relieve tension and get the blood pumping.
